Glyco-A Glycolic Acid Cream 6% 12%

Glyco-A glycolic acid cream is manufactured by Micro Gratia. When the glycolic acid cream has been absorbed into the skin and allowed to do its work of binding with the dead cells it can then be washed off with water or, if you prefer, you can use some other chemicals from the alpha hydroxy line to counter the acidic properties of the glycolic acid in the cream. This will also have the effect of moisturizing the skin, which is essential after a treatment involving glycolic acid. The cream will then need to be applied at regular intervals in the coming weeks to ensure that whatever progress was made is maintained and built upon. This type of long term, steady progress has a vastly reduced potential for problem side effects, and is the recommended way of approaching skin care. Glyco-A cream comes in 6% and 12% concentrate

Glyco-A Glycolic Acid Cream Usage and Benefits

Glyco -A contains glycolic acid. This is one of the chemicals that belong to the family of fruit acids. They come from sugar cane, which means that they are organic or natural ingredients. You can also find them in citrus fruits such as the oranges.Glycolic acid is actually used in various industries to remove rust and grease. When contained in smaller quantities, though, such as less than 5 percent, they can be extremely beneficial to the skin. Glyco-A has 6% and 12% Glycolic acid cream

Glyco- A Glycolic Acid Cream Benefits

There are so much benefits that you can enjoy with using Glyco-A glycolic acid lotion/Cream.

For one, they improve the appearance of your acne scars by making them look smoother and restoring the condition of your skin. Moreover, it stimulates the production of elastin and collagen, which you will lose as you age. When they are underproduced, your skin will definitely begin to sag, and wrinkles will start to appear.

They are excellent for exfoliation because of their sufficient acid level. They can get rid of dead skin cells, which can be one of the leading causes of acne. When dead skin cells mix with overproduced oil and dirt, it won’t be long before you develop zits and blemishes all over your skin.Nevertheless, you may have to apply a moisturizer or sunscreen lotion when you’re going outside because glycolic acid can make your skin very sensitive to sun’s exposure.

You can also use glycolic acid skin care products to improve the tone of your skin. They can remove blemishes, patches, freckles, blackheads, whiteheads, scales, and a lot more. They can also act as bleach, when their main job is to get rid of the dark spots that are all over your face. Most of all, they are antioxidants, which means they keep your skin healthy by keeping free radicals totally in control. With free radicals, you will start to lose your collagen, and your skin will be unhealthy.

Today, there are a number of products that contain glycolic acid. For example, you can get a gel wash, which is perfect for everyday use. You can wash your face with it to remove dead skin cells and dirt that have stuck on your pores. You can also take a bath with a body wash containing a small concentration of glycolic acid especially if you want to exfoliate.Of course, there are facial cleansers, body lotion, elbow and heel creams, fading creams, and glycolic acid treatment products for acne.

By starting with a glycolic acid cream, you are giving your skin a chance to respond to a much milder version of the treatment. Should this happen, you will not need to take whatever risk is inherent in the harsher and more concentrated treatments. Your skin will be with you for a long time, and it really shouldn’t matter to you that the treatment will be over a period of several weeks, so long as there is a steady, ongoing improvement. The more mild glycolic acid creams allow you to make consistent progress without the need for the extreme side effects of other treatments.

The cream is applied directly to the skin, and then allowed to be absorbed. Glycolic acid is excellent at absorption into the skin, and at attacking the dead skin which is bound by lipids to the living, healthy skin. There is nothing more to do at this stage than simply sit or lie back and allow the active ingredients to their job. This is not, of course, a miracle cure, and it will take several treatments over many weeks before the skin reaches its optimum condition.

Initial Effects Glycolic Acid Cream for Acne Treatment

Though glycolic acid acne products have plenty of benefits, there could be minor downsides. For instance, on first application, you would definitely feel a tingling or even slight burning sensation, which is normal because you’re putting acid on your skin.Your skin doesn’t get peeled off right away. On the average, it may take three days before you can start looking flawless. As mentioned, you have to be conscious of the sun as glycolic acid can make you sensitive to it.

How to use Glyco-A Glycolic Acid Cream?

Once you’ve already cleaned your face, you can then apply the cream. The entire process may take as long as 20 minutes. This will be dependent on the result you’re hoping to achieve. You can ask for some tips from your dermatologist in terms of the duration of the procedure. You can then wash it off with water afterward.

The Effects of a Glycolic Acid Cream Treatment

It’s very common for you to notice the downsides of the Glyco-A glycolic acid cream. For one, your skin will be very sensitive to the sun. When you’re exposed, you could feel the burning sensation. To cope with that, you need to use moisturizer or sunscreen lotion for added protection. You would also notice that your skin doesn’t peel off right away. You may look at yourself in the mirror and realize how hideous you look. However, after three days, new skin will start to come out, and dead skin cells will start to fall off. There are also other added benefits that you can look forward to with glycolic acid facial products. They can tone your skin, making those dark spots become less visible. You can also use them to get rid of blemishes, blackheads, and whiteheads. They are also excellent for acne-prone skin. They can remove dead skin cells, which are major components for the development of acne. You can also use glycolic acid–based products to lessen the visibility of acne scars.

Glycolic Acid Cream during Pregnancy

A number of women are asking if pregnant women can also take advantage of glycolic acid benefits. The truth is that such skin care products are totally safe to use by would-be mothers, as long as these are to be taken topically or applied on the skin only. Any medication for acne or other skin disease taken orally may be detrimental to the health and development of the baby.

I bought this glycolic cream, the salicylic cream, and the retin-A last spring and have been ordering it since. I love it! In under two weeks, huge difference… huge. My skin looked amazing, fresh, healthy. I love these products!

  2. Rated 5 out of 5

This is the way to use glycolic acid. In a cream base there is very little irritation. I love this stuff, I can’t tolerate retin-A so this is as good as for me. I’ve used a form of it for years and it works wonderfully. It is a very strong acid so don’t think its not. You will get great results with this….trust me you can’t go wrong if you can’t tolerate the Retin-a.

I want to add to the reviews that I studied esthetics and carried a license as an esthetician for a period of time and I used peels and various glycolic and lactic acids on clients and for personal use.

  4. Rated 5 out of 5

I absolutely love this! I wish I started using it when I was younger, but Ayurskins wasn’t around. Basically, I use it once a week for 2-3 minutes while I brush my teeth. I don’t prep with alcohol or neutralize with baking soda (quite frankly because I’m lazy), and I still get results. I started using this for acne because after the birth of my second child, the birth control pill was no longer enough to keep my cystic acne away. It’s not over drying unless I increase the frequency. But it helped clear up the cysts dramatically and improved my acne scars from 2 decades of battling acne. I highly recommend that acne sufferers at least try this! I bought a bottle for a friend and she is hooked also! I’m in my mid-thirties and people think I’m 10 years younger. While it hasn’t cured my acne completely, it is a major improvement in size, duration, and number of zits. During pregnancy, I used a glycolic acid peel instead but it definitely wasn’t as good as this.

    best product ever

Used as directed, once a week for 3 weeks now. Easy to apply Cream and definitely notice an improvement in the texture and appearance of my skin. Reduced pores and fresher, smoother look overall. I did buy this expecting it to improve some melasma, but can’t tell yet if that will happen. I do, however, feel comfortable continuing with the hope it will and appreciating the benefit I’m getting anyway. After my experience with this, I feel safe considering going up in concentration after a few more uses.

I apply this Cream once a week. It stings while on the face, but it is tolerable. Leave it on for only 3 minutes, then rinse off. Skin feels smooth and refreshed.

  8. Rated 5 out of 5

I used this before a spray tan. It didn’t remove the old spray tan but it did soften my skin.

  9. Rated 4 out of 5

I love this cream. The smell could be better, it just smells acidic so I’m docking it a point for that. It has a good consistency. It stings a bit when drying, but that is normal from the acid.

This has really brightened up my complexion and massively softened my skin which is what I was hoping for, so other than the smell this is a great product and I would recommend it.

It’s been about 3 weeks since I’ve been using this product on a daily basis, & I’m beginning to see the results. My ance scares are beginning to fade. The redness is calming down too. Hope to continue to see improvement in my skin.

  11. Rated 5 out of 5

I been using the glycolic acid cream for 2 weeks now every morning and night is starting to clear up my forehead dark spot but not my chin dark spot am going to see if it will improve over the month. I want to try there other products and see if they will work.

I’m a 61-year-old natural redhead with a lot of sun damage on my face. Been using this product for a couple of months. I have noticed that it is lightening my patches of brown skin damage slowly but effectively. I feel like it is eating away at the top layers of damage and revealing what is underneath, which in my case is whiteheads, skin tags, age spots. Also seems to be keeping my wrinkles in check. My plan is to keep using it to see if the skin damage patches will be erased entirely.

  13. Rated 2 out of 5

Almost done with the entire tube but I can’t say I’ve noticed any exceptional change to the health of my skin. I have relatively clear skin year-round but every now and then suffer from pustules around my jawline that linger for weeks and leave some really bad discoloration behind. I wash/tone/moisturize/exfoliate my face religiously and hoped that this product would even up my skin tone faster. Surprisingly, months after use, there is still some noticeable discoloration from even the smallest of pustules. They are slowly fading, of course, but I’ve seen my skin’s renewal process enough times to confidently say nothing drastic came with this cream. I expected a bit more for the price.

Bought this for my mom because she has VERY oily skin. She has been using it every day and she notices a small change when she washes her face but it goes back to oily within a few hours.

Thanks it’s making a difference on a dark hyper pigmented area of skin.

I have been using this very good product for about five months and feel that it lives up to all the manufacturer’s claims for it. If your expectations are realistic, you will probably be pleased with it, too. The results were certainly good enough that I bought a second bottle! I have read some complaints about the pump, but it has worked fine for me and dispenses just the right amount to spread on one area of my face at a time. I have clearly seen improvement in my skin and expect continued good results.

  18. Rated 2 out of 5

I was really looking forward to trying this product out as I’ve heard that glycolic acid does wonders for your skin. Unfortunately, this product did not work for me. I actually felt like my face was looking older everyday. After using this product for about 3 weeks, I switched to another product i used before. I noticed a huge difference in the appearance of my face. It looked a lot brighter and younger.

I purchased this for my teenager. He’s been using it faithfully since day 1 and is already seeing results!

  20. Rated 5 out of 5

My sister ordered me to find a glycolic acid cream for my face. I ordered this one after reading its description and a few others in comparison. Turns out it was a great decision – I’ll be ordering it again!

  21. Rated 4 out of 5

i’ts to be working, have only used for a few weeks.

  22. Rated 5 out of 5

In the past, I received dermatological glycolic [6%} facials, which were perfect for my skin type. Looking on Ayurskins for a glycolic acid cream, Life Essentials Skin Care appeared, and after reading the reviews decided to try the product. For me, it works well, leaving my skin clear & smooth. Of course, this product is not as powerful as what would be given at dermatologist’s office, so do not buy if desiring a more intense result. For an OTC, it works well. In fact, I visited a dermatologist recently [had used product for several months] and the fist statement made was how great my skin looked. Think that is a pretty good testimonial.

  23. Rated 4 out of 5

Have not used it long enough to see a difference with this particular product. But I do know the results using glycolic acid creams on my skin have made a difference in the past.

  24. Rated 2 out of 5

I break out on it. Was disappointed. Also, cream is too thick to come out of the pump.

  25. Rated 1 out of 5

I tried this product coz I saw a lot of good reviews and the price is reasonable. I have oily skin and I used this for 2 weeks and I’ve noticed that my skin got worse. This product is not for me.

  26. Rated 4 out of 5

It’s been about 3 weeks since I’ve been using this product on a daily basis, & I’m beginning to see the results. My ance scares are beginning to fade. The redness is calming down too. Hope to continue to see improvement in my skin.

  27. Rated 4 out of 5

So far I really like it. I have not used it long enough to determine if it is really working. I have fine lines around my lips that I am working on. I think I see a little improvement and I have ordered two more bottles to keep it up for a longer time.

  28. Rated 3 out of 5

This is OK – not worth all the hype. Still using to finish the tube.

  29. Rated 5 out of 5

This product is great in helping with removing dark spots from your skin!

  30. Rated 5 out of 5

Love the product goes on easy and without much greasy residue. However, the pump is totally worthless… 100 plus attempt tp pump the cream have failed. I’m not pleased that I have to use pump shaft to get to the cream.

  31. Rated 5 out of 5

I am so happy to have found Life Essentials. I was using another skincare line and stumbled on Life Essentials when looking for a Glycolic Acid Cream. I thought I would give it a try. I am glad I did. I love it! I am seeing results in just 3 weeks!

  32. Rated 1 out of 5

I splurged on this product that is more expensive than I’m used to, and it did absolutely nothing for me. Made my skin more oily and irritated than normal. Would not recommend, unless you have very dry skin maybe. Very disappointed and wish I could return.

  33. Rated 2 out of 5

Too small tube. I did not see any results.
Way too greasy, smell like burned sugar.
I will never buy this product ever again

  34. Rated 5 out of 5

First few times I used it, after it dried if I rubbed or scratched my face, it would roll off in clumps. After about the 4th day using the product I realized it was taking layers of cells and debris off my face. I was worried it was reacting to the sunscreen I was adding on top, and it does a little bit, but mostly I think it was stripping my skin because a scar has diminished and the area above a small cyst has peeled (which is a good thing). I had been using salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide, which left parts of my skin flaky as they stripped layers. But this product strips the dead, does not leave flaky areas, and leaves my skin moist, a little waxy, but even that feels like good moisture retention, not a suffocating layer of wax.

  35. Rated 5 out of 5

    Clears my skin beautifully.

  36. Rated 4 out of 5

It seemed to clear up my face a good bit, although I am using an additional product. It feels extremely oily at first but drys good so that doesn’t last long. I think it has helped even my skin tone out by helping with small blemishes. I will continue using this product in the future.

  37. Rated 5 out of 5

I been using the glycolic acid cream for 2 weeks now every morning and night is starting to clear up my forehead dark spot but not my chin dark spot am going to see if it will improve over the month. I want to try there other products and see if they will work.

  38. Rated 3 out of 5

I don’t know if it works because I’ve only used it a couple of times, but the texture is very nice. I don’t like the smell, it smells exactly like brown sugar which is just too strong for me.

  39. Rated 5 out of 5

I am constantly trying to find skin products that fight acne without salicylic acid (I’m allergic) and that are kind to sensitive skin. This is a light cream that goes on underneath your moisturizer, and it feels great so far! I’ve read that glycolic acid treatments help with acne scarring and have anti-aging qualities, and this is the most affordable and natural product with glycolic acid I’ve found.

  40. Rated 5 out of 5

I have been using the product for two days and can see an improvement in my skin, smaller pores and a more even skin tone. Very pleased with the product.

First one came and pump did not work. The company got back to me that day and sent me brand new one with working pump. Love product and amazing customer service

  42. Rated 5 out of 5

Kinda new, but seems to be very helpful

  43. Rated 5 out of 5

This stuff I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I have sensitive skin and never thought I could use this, but I began with a sample behind my ear and moved on to only once a day and never broke out. So now, I use it twice a day and no sign of peeling at all, but I can feel my skin is smoother…less rough and bumpy. It’s been several weeks and I’m shocked on the progress….really shocked, so it’s a keeper!

******Update: The 1st review came from my 2nd tube…now I’m on my 3rd, this is a MUST for me! My dark marks are clearing up…..yes! Once again, I love this product!!!!******
